Process
The process begins with good communication. Understanding expectations gives our clients the foresight to take on many different design concepts. Detailed drawings give them confidence in what is to be expected as well as excitement for what the future holds. Shown here is an example of a drawing to scale for a residential fireplace. The system is the same no matter what the size or technical requirements may be. I generally work in stone and ceramics incorporating metals and glass, often using reclaimed materials for various projects. Under the correct circumstances any material is fair game. By prefabricating much of the artworks in the studio I simplify the setting of each project, allowing for a professional, streamlined installation.
